WE PRESERVE THE NATURAL RESOURCES FOR PRESENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS

We launched the Program of Vine Nutrition, whose objective is to take care of the soil and to have balanced vines through precision nutrition.

We produce organic and inorganic nutrients from waste obtained during the manufacturing process. (vermicompost of stalks and exhausted pomace) in collaborative work with the National Institute of Agricultural Technology. We also improved this process by growing microorganisms.

Due to the shortage of this resource in our province, we measure the total amount of water we use in each process. In this way, we know where to adjust its consumption as much as possible.

In 2020 we complied with the standards of certification of the System of Environmental Management according to the ISO 14001:2015 standard. We calculated our water footprint and set objectives to reduce it for 2021.

These actions contribute to principle 6: Clean water and sanitation; and principle 12: Responsible production and consumption.

The reduction of greenhouse gases is one of our greatest concerns. In fact,we measured our carbon footprint and were certified with the ISO 14.001 standard of Environmental Management System. We also launched a program of Energetic Efficiency with iniciatives and investments that start with simple practices such as checking the proper lightening of outdoor places.

In 2019 we installed a photovoltaic power plant, which is the most important one of the wine making industry in Argentina. This allows us to substitute 10% of the energy consumption of our winery located in Maipu with clean energy.
